Welding Equipment Tester
We're looking for an experienced technical specialist to join our Welding Division in Chorley. You will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and testing a wide range of welding related hire equipment; including electrical and diesel-powered welder; ensuring everything that leaves our depot is safe, reliable, and ready for our customers.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical skills who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and supporting a busy hire operation.

Your Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and test a variety of welding machine and hire equipment
- Carry out routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations
- Maintain compliance with all industry standards and safety regulation
- Record service and inspection details accurately using our internal systems
- Support colleagues with technical advice when required
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Be a valued member of the fitting team and wider First Response operation

What you
will bring
- Experience working with electrical and diesel-powered welders & equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Computer literacy for completing service records and system updates
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- A strong team ethic and positive attitude
